Today, we remember former first lady Nancy Reagan on her birthday. She was a true American patriot who served our country with grace, dignity & strength. Her devoted marriage to President Reagan and their love for each other is an inspiration to this day. @Reagan_Library

Today, we celebrate the birth of the USA on #July4th, 1776. Although our celebrations throughout our country are somewhat different given #COVID19, we can always have a patriotic spirit. I am proud to have authored HR 2130 to celebrate our great nation: https://bit.ly/3bL2WJP

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the start of the Korean War— sometimes referred to as the Forgotten War. However, to the families of Texas' and America's Missing in Action/Killed in Action and to all Korean War Veterans, your service and sacrifice are not forgotten. The war led to freedom for the people of South Korea. On our Texas State Capitol grounds, a Korean War Veterans Memorial outdoor monument stands to commemorate the more than 289,000 Texans who served in the Korean War.
